Senior Construction Manager

Graham is seeking a seasoned construction professional to lead our Buildings division as a Senior Project Manager. This individual will be responsible for managing key relationships with clients, project teams, and external stakeholders, while ensuring the successful delivery of projects in the healthcare, education, hospitality, and commercial sectors.
- Ensure preparation, implementation, and administration of Safety and Environmental programs on the project.
- Maintain and administer the cost reporting system for all project components.
- Prepare and monitor the project master schedule in conjunction with the Project Management team.
- Coordinate and administer drawings, drawing records, revisions, site instructions, and change order processes.
- Negotiate and select subcontractors to ensure capability, scope coverage, and best value.
- Prepare project execution plans in conjunction with the Superintendent.
- Identify required and optional changes in project scope; negotiate change orders with the owner.
- Review project production, cost, and schedule with the project staff on a weekly basis.
- Ensure updates, preparation, and distribution of bi-weekly schedules are completed, and notify the manager of deviations from schedule in a timely manner.
- Review all project reporting to ensure proper coding and cost allocation.
- Ensure project closeout activities, such as coordinating documentation for deficiencies, warranties, operation, and maintenance information, are completed in a timely and accurate fashion.
- Ensure daily, weekly, and monthly labor, equipment, material, and sub-trade costs are administered and reviewed on a regular basis.
- Contribute to estimating projects, including determining project scope, subcontractor selection, pre-award planning, and costing.
- Complete margin forecasts in Projects and review with the Manager on each month end.
- Review and approve change order pricing when prepared by subordinates.
- Act to resolve disputes between the company and owner, or company and subcontractors, when possible, prior to Manager's involvement.
- Provide direction, coach/mentor/develop, review performance, and recommend advancement and dismissal of personnel reporting to the Senior Project Manager.
- Monitor and measure HSE goals and expectations using Key Performance Indicators.
- Minimum 5-10 years' experience in Project Management and field preferable within the Commercial and Public Works sectors.
- Engineering Degree or Technical Diploma preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of direct experience required. Depending upon the project size, scope, and complexity, the years of experience may vary.
- Extensive knowledge in construction methods, project management processes, and Graham systems.
- Ability to train project staff in all aspects of project requirements.
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite, InEight, Primavera P6, On-screen Takeoff, and Bluebeam is an asset.
The job duties associated with this position have been deemed Safety Critical by Graham's hiring team and will require the selected candidate to successfully pass a 10-panel pre-employment drug screen.
Compensation and Benefits:- Salary range: 140k-155k.
