Position Overview
The role of the Pharmacy Technician, Store Operations is pivotal in a dynamic retail pharmacy environment, where you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on patient care. This position requires adherence to all regulatory standards while ensuring patient confidentiality and ethical conduct. Successful candidates will manage various pharmacy tasks to support the team in accurately filling prescriptions and delivering exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Customer Engagement: Actively interact with customers, both in-person and via phone, to assist in managing their health needs. Provide education on our services and products to empower customers in making informed health decisions.
- Problem Resolution: Identify and address potential issues proactively, collaborating with pharmacy teams and medical professionals to ensure timely access to medications and resolve any concerns.
- Workflow Management: Follow established pharmacy procedures to ensure safe and accurate prescription fulfillment, balancing quality and efficiency while adapting to changing priorities.
- Inventory Control: Assist in managing inventory according to company policies, including receiving deliveries and conducting stock counts.
- Team Collaboration: Contribute to a high-performing team environment by being open to feedback and engaging in continuous improvement initiatives.
- Compliance: Understand and adhere to applicable laws and regulations, ensuring patient safety and privacy at all times.
Essential Functions:
- Work collaboratively with store management and pharmacy teams.
- Supervise store crew activities, ensuring effective communication and task completion.
- Address customer inquiries and concerns, promoting a positive shopping experience.
- Maintain accurate pricing and product placement in accordance with company standards.
- Execute store opening and closing procedures, ensuring security and compliance.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- State-level licensure and national certification as a Pharmacy Technician may be required based on location.
- 0-3 years of relevant experience preferred.
- Strong customer service skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
