Overview:

The Residential Program Coordinator will manage the daily functions of the residential program, including overseeing cottage activities and ensuring quality care. This role involves collaborating with the leadership team at Southeastern Integrated Care LLC to enhance the well-being of children and families within the program.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Uphold the organization's mission and values.
  • Collaborate with the treatment team to establish tailored treatment objectives for each child. Participate in treatment meetings to ensure cohesive care.
  • Create, revise, and implement treatment plans and progress reports, utilizing assessment tools in partnership with the designated Clinician.
  • Define specific treatment objectives aligned with overall goals, focusing on successful transitions back to family, school, and community.
  • Clearly communicate treatment goals to each child, ensuring their understanding and involvement.
  • Address children's needs for specialized services in coordination with the treatment team, educational staff, and case managers.
  • Design and facilitate engaging group activities within the residential setting.
  • Monitor children's behavior to identify any physical or mental health concerns.
  • Assist in coordinating visits for children with their assigned Clinician.
  • Actively participate in weekly treatment meetings.
  • Represent the assigned units in meetings to discuss treatment goals with children, families, and external agencies.
  • Help develop individualized crisis management plans for each child, ensuring documentation is accessible to the treatment team.
  • Collaborate with the Operations Director on budget planning to optimize resource allocation.
  • Gather and analyze information regarding children's interests and abilities for educational and vocational planning.
  • Oversee the revision of care plans and organize case conferences.
  • Be available to support children in crisis situations.
  • Supervise cottage group activities.
  • Ensure effective scheduling of admissions and discharges in collaboration with case managers and clinicians.
  • Keep staff informed about individual case progress through team meetings.
  • Acknowledge and respect the cultural diversity of children and team members.
  • Foster respectful relationships with children and their families.
  • Intervene appropriately to address the needs of children and families, empowering them to develop skills to manage challenges.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members.
  • Review applications and participate in the selection process.
  • Manage and mentor staff, ensuring compliance with state mental health policies.
  • Train staff and supervisors in the program's philosophy, emphasizing structure, engagement, and support.
  • Set performance goals for staff and conduct evaluations.
  • Coordinate work procedures and manage schedules in partnership with clinicians and supervisors.
  • Maintain positive work relationships and address any grievances.
  • Provide clinical supervision to staff and supervisors, taking necessary personnel actions.
  • Communicate the needs of the unit to other departments and external agencies.
  • Ensure the cottage is maintained in good condition in collaboration with facility services.
  • Execute additional duties as assigned by the Operations Director.
  • Support the growth of organizational initiatives.
  • Organize training and shadowing opportunities for new employees.
  • Transport children in agency vehicles as needed.

Supervisory Role:

This position supervises group home staff.

Qualifications:

To excel in this role, candidates must demonstrate the ability to fulfill essential duties effectively. The following qualifications are required:

Education and Experience:

  • A Master's Degree in a Human Services field with at least two years of experience in a child mental health environment, or a Bachelor's Degree in a Human Services field with a minimum of four years of supervisory experience in a child mental health setting while actively pursuing a Master's Degree; QP credential is also necessary.
  • Ability to manage stress effectively in a challenging environment.

Required Skills:

  • Reliability and trustworthiness.
  • Understanding of finance, accounting, and bookkeeping principles.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and willingness to learn other accounting software.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to maintain confidential records meticulously.

Certifications:

  • A valid driver's license and a clean driving record are required for transporting clients.

Work Environment:

The work environment is typically an office setting with moderate noise levels.

Physical Requirements:

  • The role involves prolonged periods of sitting, occasional standing, walking, bending, and reaching.
  • Regular use of hands for handling tasks, as well as visual and auditory communication.
  • Ability to lift up to 15 pounds as needed.
