Key Responsibilities- Oversee the coordination of care, staffing arrangements, budgets, and environments that foster effective treatment.
- Collaborate with the leadership team to enhance the quality of care for children and families.
- Establish specific treatment objectives for each child in partnership with the treatment team.
- Participate in treatment team meetings to ensure cohesive care delivery.
- Develop, document, and implement individualized treatment plans and progress summaries.
- Communicate treatment goals and objectives to children, ensuring their understanding and engagement.
- Address special service needs in collaboration with the treatment team and other staff members.
- Facilitate quality group experiences within the residential setting.
- Monitor children’s behavior to identify any physical or mental health concerns.
- Coordinate visits for children with their assigned clinicians.
- Represent the unit in meetings focused on developing and revising treatment goals.
- Assist in creating individualized crisis management plans for each child.
- Work with the Operations Director on budget management to optimize resource allocation.
- Gather and analyze information regarding children’s interests and abilities for effective planning.
- Be available to support children in crisis situations.
- Ensure effective scheduling of admissions and discharges in collaboration with relevant staff.
- Attend team meetings to keep staff updated on individual cases.
- Recognize and respect the cultural diversity of children and team members.
- Foster respectful relationships with children and their families.
- Provide supervision and training to staff, ensuring compliance with state mental health policies.
- Set performance goals for staff and conduct evaluations.
- Manage work procedures and schedules in collaboration with the treatment team.
- Ensure the physical environment of the cottage meets required standards.
- Coordinate training and orientation for new staff members.
- Transport children as necessary.
A Master's Degree in a Human Services field with at least two years of experience in a child mental health setting, or a Bachelor's Degree in a Human Services field with a minimum of four years of supervisory experience in a child mental health setting, actively pursuing a Master's Degree. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn additional accounting software is required. Strong organizational skills and the ability to maintain confidential records are essential.
The role is primarily office-based, requiring prolonged periods of sitting and working on a computer, with occasional standing, walking, bending, and reaching.
