Position Summary:
The Pharmacy Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing personnel, operational processes, systems, and resources to achieve optimal outcomes and foster high employee morale. This role involves the continuous evaluation of pharmacy workflows to ensure a safe and efficient working environment. The Manager ensures that the department adheres to organizational policies and complies with regulatory standards. This position provides leadership for the daily operations of the Pharmacy, ensuring the delivery of safe and effective pharmaceutical services. The Manager is also tasked with overseeing IV admixture services, ensuring that all operational and regulatory obligations are fulfilled. Responsibilities include developing and revising policies and procedures to align with regulatory standards and best practices, monitoring workflow consistently, and devising strategies for ongoing enhancement. Additionally, the Manager is accountable for maintaining a safe workplace.
Essential Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:
- Strong organizational skills to prioritize needs and manage resources effectively.
- Clear and concise communication abilities.
- Sound judgment based on professional knowledge and experience, considering all affected areas in decision-making.
- Customer-focused approach to build and maintain long-term relationships, consistently meeting or exceeding expectations.
- Interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues, patients, and external stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Meditech, and relevant purchasing vendor applications.
- Thorough understanding of organizational policies, procedures, and systems.
- Basic mathematical skills for calculations, balancing figures, and accurate transcription.

Qualifications:
- B.S. or Pharm D. from an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy is required.
- Experience in hospital pharmacy settings
- Proven track record in hospital pharmacy operations, including project leadership
- Experience in sterile IV compounding
- Previous managerial or supervisory experience
- Completion and maintenance of all required competencies and training for the role.
