Job Summary

Ventura Foods is seeking a highly skilled Regulatory Compliance Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our regulatory compliance team, you will be responsible for ensuring our branded and custom edible fats and oils commodities meet global food laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, Legal, Quality, Sales, Marketing, Operations, Packaging Development, Finance, Procurement, and Engineering to ensure compliance with global food laws and regulations.
  • Develop and implement regulatory compliance strategies to minimize risks and ensure compliance with emerging regulations.
  • Provide regulatory guidance and support to internal stakeholders, including training and education on regulatory requirements.
  • Lead regulatory cross-functional projects to ensure compliance with new, revised, or emerging global laws and regulations.
  • Conduct regulatory research and analysis to identify new regulatory hypotheses and verify compliance with global regulations.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Regulatory Compliance, Regulatory Affairs, Food Science, Food Nutrition, Quality Assurance, Food Safety, Biology, Chemistry, International Food Law, or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a food regulatory function, including supervision experience and/or relevant training.
  • Experience in a food, beverage, or pharmaceutical industry in regulatory compliance or in a regulatory affairs capacity.
  • Active participation in food industry Trade Associations would be an asset.
