Job Summary

Kaiva Tech, LLC is seeking a highly skilled Personnel Security Specialist to join our team in the National Capital Region/Arlington VA.

Clearance: Active DoD Secret with eligibility for Top Secret / SCI

Workplace Type: This position is onsite with Situational Telework Options.

Salary Range: $70,000 - $75,000.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and maintain productive working relationships with the customer base to provide consistent, high-quality customer satisfaction and sound business relations.
  • Research and analyze personnel files, extract pertinent information, and formulate an accurate and appropriate response in accordance with applicable security regulations and guidelines.
  • Provide guidance and clarification to the customer base on security clearance and investigative requirements and guidelines.
  • Assist Government representatives in support of various levels of importance and sensitivity relating to personnel cases.
  • Assist with evacuation of facilities during emergency situations.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated skill and ability to research and analyze personnel files.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Working knowledge utilizing MS Office.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Recent experience supporting DoD office environments.
  • Experience monitoring compliance with security regulations and providing security guidance and clarification.

Education:

  • High School Degree or Certificate.
  • Security Related Training.

Certifications:

  • Center for Development of Security Excellence (CDSE) Physical, Industrial and Personnel Security courses.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit and work at a computer keyboard for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to stoop, kneel, bend at the waist, and reach daily.
  • Ability to lift to 30 pounds and climb ladders occasionally.
  • Ability to walk long distances without assistance and proficiently inspect access-confined spaces.
