Job Overview

We are in search of a Culinary Operations Manager who can elevate our customer service and dining experiences. Reporting directly to the General Manager, you will adopt a proactive approach in enhancing team development, culinary proficiency, safety measures, and client engagement.

Your contributions will be vital in achieving budgetary goals and implementing company initiatives effectively.

Compensation Package: The salary for this role is projected between $70,000 and $75,000, influenced by factors such as the applicant's skills, qualifications, relevant experience, and market trends. Additional compensation may include bonuses or commissions where applicable. This figure represents Aramark's reasonable estimate for this position at the time of posting.

Upon hiring, the employee will hold an 'at-will position,' and Aramark retains the right to adjust the base salary and any other discretionary compensation at any time and for any reason, including individual performance, departmental outcomes, and market conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and mentor kitchen staff while coordinating all culinary operations.
  • Forecast food needs and manage procurement processes.
  • Create and refine recipes, ensuring consistency in quality through standardized production methods.
  • Establish presentation techniques and quality benchmarks, alongside menu planning and pricing.
  • Ensure the proper functioning and maintenance of kitchen equipment while upholding safety and sanitation standards.
  • Oversee special catering events and provide culinary instruction as needed.

Qualifications:

  • 2-3 years of experience in a relevant culinary position.
  • 2-3 years of post-secondary education or equivalent experience.
  • Culinary degree is preferred.
  • Advanced knowledge of culinary principles and practices.
  • Experience in managing personnel and problem-solving.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
