POSITION OVERVIEW

Traditions Behavioral Health is seeking a qualified individual to serve as the Chief Medical Officer for its Healthcare Facilities Division. This role is pivotal in ensuring the delivery of high-quality medical services across various state-operated healthcare facilities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure adherence to established standards of care across all facilities while integrating innovative practices and therapeutic advancements.
  • Formulate and enforce medical policies, procedures, and guidelines to uphold exceptional patient care and safety throughout the organization.
  • Analyze operational costs and resource utilization to promote efficiency in clinical operations.
  • Guarantee compliance with all relevant federal, state, and local regulations, including licensure and accreditation standards.
  • Collaborate with various divisions and external organizations to enhance patient outcomes and address healthcare disparities.
  • Act as a medical authority and advisor to the leadership team on clinical care, patient safety, and quality enhancement initiatives.
  • Monitor and evaluate data to identify trends and areas for improvement, implementing targeted strategies to address these issues.
  • Encourage a culture of continuous improvement and innovation in patient care, working closely with facility administrators and medical staff.
  • Oversee the recruitment, training, and ongoing professional development of medical personnel to ensure a high standard of care.
  • Represent the Healthcare Facilities Division at various conferences and meetings, advocating for the division's objectives and initiatives.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree with completion of an accredited residency program.
  • A minimum of ten years of clinical experience, including five years in a leadership capacity within a healthcare setting.
  • Proven knowledge of healthcare operations, regulatory compliance, and accreditation requirements.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and leadership abilities, with a talent for fostering effective relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Must be licensed to practice medicine in the State of Montana or be eligible for licensure within a specified timeframe.
