Sales and Territory Development Specialist
The Sales and Territory Development Specialist will be responsible for expanding M S International's sales and margins of MSIs countertop products with fabricators and K&Bs located within an assigned geographic territory. This role requires developing relationships with current customers and potential customers within the specified territory, providing knowledge and training to store personnel, and understanding market competition and product positioning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain relationships with customers and potential customers within the assigned territory.
- Provide training and knowledge to store personnel to ensure they can effectively present and negotiate the company's products.
- Understand and analyze market competition and product positioning.
- Manage displays, samples, and selling tools for customer availability.
- Consult with dealers on retail pricing, advertising, promotions, and ROI.
- Quote prices, discuss credit terms, and prepare sales contracts for customer orders.
- Estimate delivery dates based on company delivery schedules.
- Review and analyze sales reports to identify sales potential with current customers and potential new customers.
- Broaden reach in the territory and promote company products using marketing tools.
- Research and analyze customer needs and demands based on market information.
- Investigate and resolve customer claims/problems with deliveries, returns, and credits.
- Attend trade shows as required.
- Travel locally, nationally, and/or internationally for business purposes.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree required.
- Two (2) plus years of experience in channel distribution sales.
- Minimum 2 years of related industry experience; natural stone, slab, or hard flooring industries.
- Minimum 2 years of outside B2B sales experience.
- Strong math skills for calculating figures and amounts.
- Ability to determine solutions for customers.
- Results-oriented and able to work independently and within a team environment.
- Intermediate computer proficiency.
- Valid driver's license.
- Willingness to travel up to 75% of the time.
