Job Summary:
The Outside Sales Representative is responsible for increasing market share by selling ceramic and porcelain tile products to customers in the assigned territory. This role involves developing new business opportunities, servicing existing accounts, and expanding our presence in the industry.

Responsibilities:
* Conduct weekly sales calls to existing customers and make cold calls to potential customers to increase market share* Prepare weekly reports on sales performance and provide insights to management* Develop a monthly strategy for sales calls and create a travel calendar based on that strategy* Conduct area market analysis of top accounts in each area, including top dealers, contractors, and builders* Research area market product data to determine types, styles, and sizes most purchased in the area to inform sales strategy* Grow market share by increasing sales and sales volume while maintaining company-approved product margin goals* Utilize influence and negotiation skills to sell and/or place displays in customer showrooms* Conduct client follow-ups via phone calls, letters, and/or emails* Establish and maintain client files and perform timely follow-up on programs and projects* Provide PK seminars to customers* Utilize On Demand reporting to achieve sales objectives* Perform other duties as required

Requirements:
* High school diploma or some college education is highly preferred* Functional knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Lotus Notes/email is required* A clean driving record and reliable transportation is required* 4 years prior selling experience is required; prior customer service experience is a plus* Proven ability to work in an unstructured, unsupervised environment is required

* Self-motivated with the ability to work under little or no supervision* Must possess proven interpersonal skills, including influencing and negotiation skills* Strong verbal and written communication skills are required* Must be able to exercise independent judgment and demonstrate solid time management and organizational skills
