Position Overview:
The Executive Director serves as the principal executive leader of ASI, responsible for overseeing the administrative, financial, and programmatic functions of the organization. Reporting directly to the Board of Directors, the Executive Director plays a crucial role in supporting board members in fulfilling their corporate and student government duties, including the execution of board-approved priorities, policies, and budgetary allocations.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Act as the primary advisor to the Board of Directors, ensuring adherence to all relevant federal, state, university, and organizational regulations.
2. Collaborate with the Board to strategize, develop, and implement annual priorities, presenting departmental strategic plans for board review.
3. Foster leadership development opportunities for board members and facilitate effective communication between the Board and staff.
4. Guide staff on programmatic and fiscal matters, ensuring compliance with ASI, campus, and CSU policies and applicable regulations.
5. Safeguard ASI's financial and legal interests, authorizing the hiring and termination of full-time staff, and supervising department directors.
6. Oversee programmatic initiatives by coordinating the development and implementation of new policies and procedures with input from department directors and board approval.
7. Assist the Finance and Budget Committee in crafting the annual corporate budget, monitoring its execution, and addressing budget-related issues.
8. Ensure the budget is presented for approval and implemented as authorized.
9. Provide oversight for assessments and continuous improvements related to ASI programs and services, including the preparation of the ASI Annual Report.
10. Serve as the authorized agent for negotiating and executing contracts on behalf of the organization, ensuring compliance with all contractual obligations.
11. Act as a non-voting advisory member of the ASI Board of Directors and participate in various ASI committees as needed.
12. Build and maintain strong relationships with the University and community, participating in leadership meetings and campus committees.

- Experience in a supervisory role, managing a diverse workforce.
