Manufacturing Cost Analyst

As a Manufacturing Cost Analyst, you will be crucial in ensuring the financial integrity of our worldwide production operations. This role is tailored for individuals who possess strong accounting skills and a deep understanding of the intricacies involved in manufacturing settings.
Reporting Structure:
You will report directly to the Corporate Controller and will be key in managing and upholding accurate product costing, enhancing costing techniques, and supervising inventory protocols across our international facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Generate precise and timely financial statements concerning Purchase Price Variance, Manufacturing Variances, and Inventory Adjustments, including scrap, during weekly and month-end financial closures.
- Refine and advance costing methodologies to align with evolving manufacturing processes.
- Enforce stringent corporate regulations on costing, inventory cycle counts, and scrap management.
- Perform comprehensive analyses on purchase price variances and manufacturing variances to pinpoint root causes and collaborate with Supply Chain and Operations teams to implement corrective measures.
- Ensure adherence to corporate inventory cycle count standards.
- Serve as a subject-matter expert on our ERP system (Epicor), concentrating on product costing, and provide support to Cost Accountants at our international locations.
- Participate in additional projects as necessary, showcasing a proactive and cooperative approach.
Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree in Accounting is preferred; however, relevant experience in cost accounting within a manufacturing context will be taken into account. Candidates should have:
- A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Cost Accountant in a multi-entity manufacturing environment.
- Certification in Management Accounting (CMA) is advantageous but not essential.
- A proactive, energetic, and inquisitive mindset, with a hands-on approach.
- Exceptional multitasking abilities to manage various time commitments.
- Proven capacity to convey financial information effectively to non-financial personnel.
- A collaborative spirit, working well across all organizational levels.
