Manufacturing Cost Analyst

As a pivotal member of our finance team, the Cost Accountant will significantly contribute to the financial integrity of our international manufacturing operations. This role is tailored for individuals who possess a strong accounting background and a deep understanding of the intricacies involved in manufacturing settings. Reporting to the Corporate Controller, you will be essential in managing accurate product costing, enhancing costing techniques, and supervising inventory policies across our global facilities.
This position offers flexibility to work onsite, in a hybrid model, or remotely.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide precise and timely financial reports regarding Purchase Price Variance, Manufacturing Variances, and Inventory Adjustments, including scrap, during weekly and month-end closings.
- Refine and improve costing methodologies to adapt to evolving manufacturing processes.
- Ensure adherence to corporate controls on costing, inventory cycle counts, and scrap management.
- Perform comprehensive analyses on purchase price variances and manufacturing variances to uncover root causes and collaborate with Supply Chain and Operations teams for corrective actions.
- Guarantee compliance with corporate inventory cycle count policies.
- Serve as a subject-matter expert on our ERP system (Epicor), with a focus on product costing, and provide support to Cost Accountants at our international locations.
- Participate in additional projects as needed, showcasing a proactive and collaborative approach.
- A Bachelor's degree in Accounting is preferred; however, relevant experience in cost accounting within a manufacturing context will be considered.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Cost Accountant in a multi-entity manufacturing environment.
- Certification in Management Accounting (CMA) is advantageous but not essential.
- A proactive, dynamic, and inquisitive individual who is comfortable with hands-on tasks.
- Exceptional multitasking abilities to manage various time commitments effectively.
- Demonstrated capability to convey financial information in an understandable manner to non-financial personnel.
- A collaborative team player who engages well across all organizational levels.
