Position Summary:

Community Teamwork is actively looking for two Financial Planning Analysts to become integral members of the Finance and Accounting Team. These positions will play a crucial role in monitoring the financial health of the Division, ensuring the ongoing and future funding of program services.

Available Roles for the Following Divisions:

  • Housing and Homelessness: Includes programs such as Leased Housing, Family and Individual Emergency Shelters, and Youth Services.
  • Community Resources: Encompasses programs like Rental Assistance, Fuel Assistance, Weatherization, WIC, Financial Literacy, Senior Volunteers, Entrepreneurial Business Center, and Community Resource Center.

Reporting to the Director of Financial Planning & Analysis, the Financial Planning Analyst will be tasked with developing, monitoring, and evaluating the Division's program and contract performance to ensure financial viability and the achievement of program objectives. This role is essential for the financial success of the Division, ensuring the necessary funding for program services.

This position demands a robust understanding of non-profit finance, budgeting principles, and data analysis. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical capabilities, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to convey financial information effectively to both financial and non-financial stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Director of Contracts and Planning Team on funding strategies and budget forecasts.
  • Develop budgets that align with and support the contract scope.
  • Oversee the Division's budget in partnership with Program Management.
  • Monitor and analyze budget performance against actuals, identifying potential challenges and proposing corrective measures.
  • Facilitate monthly budget review meetings with Program Management and Grant Accountant.
  • Assist with financial reporting obligations to external stakeholders.
  • Maintain strong collaborative relationships with Program Management and Finance and Accounting teams.
  • Perform additional related duties as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in grant accounting or non-profit finance.
  • Proficiency in data analysis utilizing Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Capability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Ability to engage effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds, cultures, and identities, including underserved communities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in contract and grant management and compliance.
  • Familiarity with NetSuite ERP / NSPB.
