Position Overview:
We are actively looking for two Financial Planning Analysts to enhance our Finance and Accounting Team. These positions are crucial for monitoring and improving the financial performance of our Division, ensuring sustainable funding for our program services.
Available Divisions:
- Housing and Homelessness: Includes programs such as Leased Housing, Emergency Shelters, and Youth Services.
- Community Resources: Encompasses Rental Assistance, Fuel Assistance, Weatherization, WIC, Financial Literacy, Senior Volunteers, Entrepreneurial Business Center, and Community Resource Center.
Reporting directly to the Director of Financial Planning & Analysis, the Financial Planning Analyst will be responsible for developing, monitoring, and evaluating the financial performance of programs and contracts to ensure sustainability and achievement of goals.
This role demands a solid understanding of non-profit finance, budgeting practices, and data analysis. The ideal candidate will exhibit strong analytical capabilities, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to convey financial information effectively to diverse stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Director of Contracts and Planning Team on funding strategies and budget forecasts.
- Create budgets that align with and support contract scopes.
- Oversee the Division's budget in partnership with Program Management.
- Analyze budget performance against actuals, identifying issues and proposing solutions.
- Facilitate monthly budget review meetings with Program Management and Grant Accountant.
- Assist in fulfilling financial reporting obligations to external parties.
- Maintain strong collaborative relationships with Program Management and Finance and Accounting teams.
- Perform additional related duties as necessary.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- A minimum of two years of experience in grant accounting or non-profit finance.
- Proficient in data analysis, particularly using Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Capable of working independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Ability to engage effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds and communities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in contract and grant management and compliance.
- Familiarity with NetSuite ERP / NSPB.
