Position Overview:Oversee and manage the operations of a designated classroom, ensuring that the mission, vision, and values of Celebree are upheld while providing a developmentally appropriate learning environment. Offer guidance and support to classroom aides.
Qualifications:
  • Thorough understanding of child development and behavioral stages, along with knowledge of childcare licensing regulations.
  • Strong classroom management skills, including organizational, communication (both verbal and written), and problem-solving abilities.
  • Exhibit patience and adaptability.
  • Capability to perform essential functions effectively.

Key Skills:
  • Certification in CPR & First Aid.
  • Proficient in computer usage, familiar with educational software and curriculum.

Education/Experience:Must fulfill all Teacher requirements as per State regulations.
Core Responsibilities:
  • Ensure classroom compliance with all Child Care regulations and company standards.
  • Create a welcoming environment for children, parents, and visitors.
  • Maintain engaging and current classroom displays and an informative Parent Board.
  • Develop and implement timely, stimulating lesson plans that align with Celebree's curriculum.
  • Facilitate smooth transitions within the classroom.
  • Supervise children during activities, providing guidance using positive discipline techniques.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and safety of the classroom environment.
  • Complete all necessary paperwork, electronic reports, and attendance records accurately.
  • Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and school events as required.
  • Support and guide aides to ensure efficient classroom operations.
  • Provide coaching and training to aides for their professional development.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor, adhering to uniform standards.
  • Communicate effectively with parents, addressing concerns promptly and providing regular updates on their child's progress.
  • Foster open communication with management.
  • Identify and address classroom or school-related issues collaboratively with colleagues and directors.
  • Maintain all mandatory certification requirements.
  • Uphold confidentiality regarding families, colleagues, and personal matters.
  • Ensure regular attendance and limit absences.
  • Conduct face-to-name counts every 30 minutes and during transitions.

Physical Requirements:The physical demands of this role include:
  • Frequent bending, stooping, squatting, reaching, lifting, and carrying.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
