Job Overview

Position Summary
We are looking for a Cloud Infrastructure Solutions Engineer to assist a government client in enhancing their IT capabilities. This role necessitates a TS/SCI clearance and the ability to secure a CI polygraph.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and Sustain Platform as a Service (PaaS) offerings utilizing RedHat OpenShift.
  • Collaborate with the Authorization and Accreditation (A&A) team to uphold security protocols for system operations.
  • Enhance and manage existing infrastructure, including autoscaling, service support, and cost optimization.
  • Create comprehensive documentation for system processes.
  • Oversee systems within the AWS environment, leveraging EC2, S3, ELB, and RDS services.
  • Manage systems in a VMware vSphere setting, incorporating NSX and NetApp StorageGRID.
  • Automate and refine service deployment processes.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Experience in constructing and managing PaaS solutions through cloud service providers.
  • Proficient understanding of RHEL/CentOS Linux distributions.
  • In-depth knowledge of RedHat OpenShift and/or alternative Kubernetes platforms.
  • Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker.
  • Strong expertise in Amazon Web Services (AWS).
  • Excellent troubleshooting capabilities.
  • Experience in task automation using scripting languages like Bash, PowerShell, or Perl.
  • Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Understanding of DevOps practices and Continuous Integration tools such as GitLab, Jenkins, and Nexus.
  • Effective communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience managing production RedHat OpenShift clusters.
  • Strong grasp of cloud APIs and AWS/CLI interactions.
  • Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools like Puppet, Ansible, Chef, Salt, or Terraform.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Ruby, or Java.
  • Experience with virtualization technologies, particularly VMware.
  • Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, Markdown, and portal development.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
  • Over 10 years of IT experience.
  • At least 5 years of experience with PaaS solutions (e.g., RedHat OpenShift, Tanzu, etc.).

Certifications:

  • AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner.
  • RedHat Certified OpenShift Administrator.
