Position Overview
We are seeking a talented Cloud Infrastructure Solutions Engineer to become a vital part of our organization, contributing to projects that support critical clients. The successful applicant must possess a TS/SCI clearance and be eligible for a CI polygraph.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and sustain a Platform as a Service (PaaS) offering utilizing RedHat OpenShift.
- Work closely with the Authorization and Accreditation (A&A) Team to ensure compliance with security protocols.
- Improve current infrastructure by implementing autoscaling, facilitating new services, and optimizing for cost-effectiveness and security.
- Produce comprehensive documentation to promote system clarity.
- Oversee the system within an AWS environment, utilizing services such as EC2, S3, ELB, and RDS.
- Function within a VMware vSphere environment, utilizing NSX and NetApp StorageGRID.
- Enhance service deployments through automation and process optimization.
Essential Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in creating and managing Platform as a Service offerings via cloud service providers.
- Extensive knowledge of RHEL/CentOS Linux distributions.
- Familiarity with RedHat OpenShift and/or other Kubernetes platforms.
- Proficient in containerization technologies such as Docker.
- Strong expertise in Amazon Web Services (AWS).
- Advanced troubleshooting skills.
- Experience in automating processes using scripting languages like Bash, PowerShell, or Perl.
- Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and DevOps practices.
- Proficient in Continuous Integration tools such as GitLab, Jenkins, and Nexus.
- Excellent communication abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Hands-on experience managing production RedHat OpenShift clusters.
- Comprehensive understanding of cloud APIs and AWS/CLI interactions.
- Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code tools such as Puppet, Ansible, Chef, Salt, or Terraform.
- Experience with programming languages like Python, Ruby, or Java.
- Proficiency in virtualization technologies like VMware.
- Some familiarity with HTML, CSS, Markdown, and portal development.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- A minimum of 10 years in the IT field, with at least 5 years focused on Platform as a Service offerings.
Certifications
- AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner.
- RedHat Certified OpenShift Administrator.
