The Senior Software Solutions Architect is responsible for guiding the architecture and development of sophisticated software solutions tailored to intricate application challenges. This role encompasses API design, data services, platform services, cloud services, and infrastructure services to fulfill user needs while aligning with strategic objectives and the overarching Enterprise Architecture.
Key Responsibilities:
- Enhance and evolve essential Enterprise Architecture (EA) products to create a comprehensive framework for organizational IT transformation and modernization, focusing on business functions, necessary data, application management, and supporting technologies.
- Collaborate with product managers, developers, and stakeholders to outline IT solution roadmaps, formulate design specifications, assess technical requirements, and explore innovative technologies.
- Craft current and future state architectures that improve user experience and operational excellence, providing insights on strategic architectural considerations.
- Generate architectural artifacts that delineate the structure, characteristics, and workflows of solutions for project stakeholders.
- Research and incorporate new solutions utilizing customer software, commercial products, and open-source technologies, while developing technology roadmaps that encompass various service models.
- Establish and uphold standards for a loosely coupled architecture through effective API management and microservices integration.
- Offer architectural direction to support Agile/DevSecOps methodologies, modern architectures, and cloud migration initiatives.
- Facilitate the development of architecture products across various programs, ensuring alignment with business and data architecture.
- Conduct gap analyses to identify discrepancies between current and target architectures, developing user requirements and assessing migration risks.
- Utilize data science techniques to enhance the reportability of Enterprise Requirements and automate manual processes.
- Support the integration of IT architecture products across the organization, ensuring a cohesive approach to architecture development.
Qualifications:
- Active TS/SCI Security Clearance.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Technology, or equivalent experience as a Software Architect.
- Demonstrated expertise in Business, Data, Application, and Technology architecture domains.
- Proven experience in developing architectures and technology roadmaps, including both commercial and cloud solutions.
- In-depth knowledge of modern architecture practices, including service-oriented architecture and DevSecOps.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in a related field.
- Experience with enterprise architecture modeling tools.
- Familiarity with cloud computing, microservices, and API development.
- Knowledge of NGA missions and systems.
