POSITION OVERVIEW:

As a Senior Hybrid Cloud Solutions Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the security and efficiency of our operations. This position requires a TS/SCI cleared professional to support our intelligence initiatives.

The Cloud Engineer will collaborate with a dynamic development team to automate service deployments, enhance system performance, integrate with enterprise authentication services, and maintain robust security protocols while providing technical support to our clients. You will thrive in an agile environment, actively participating in scrums and collaborative meetings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain the existing Red Hat OpenShift environment across various security domains in both cloud and on-premises settings.
  • Support OpenShift operators and frameworks, including Crossplane, Kyverno, and RedHat GitOps.
  • Facilitate the deployment of OpenShift to new locations as they become operational.
  • Collaborate with internal and external teams to identify integration needs and scale platforms accordingly.
  • Work closely with the Security team to ensure compliance and develop secure solutions.
  • Provide support for data services, including RabbitMQ, Redis, PostgreSQL, and Elastic Stack.
  • Prepare comprehensive documentation for processes and systems.

Essential Skills:

  • Proficient in Amazon Web Services.
  • Experience with Linux distributions, specifically RHEL/RHCOS and CentOS.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD orchestration tools such as GitLab CI, Jenkins, and GitOps.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in deploying and managing RedHat OpenShift in cloud and/or vSphere environments.
  • Knowledge of Python, Shell scripting, and Git.
  • Understanding of container technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes.

Desired Certifications:

  • RedHat Certified OpenShift Administrator.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years in IT roles.
  • At least 5 years of experience with Platform as a Service offerings.

Clearance Requirements:

  • Active DoD TS/SCI clearance is mandatory.
