Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced General Manager to lead our Wendy's restaurant team. As a General Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the restaurant, ensuring exceptional customer service, and driving sales growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage sales goals versus budget and prior year, executing national and local marketing programs and new product roll-outs.
  • Develop and implement plans to resolve unfavorable trends and enhance sales, communicating performance and anticipated variances to District Manager and store management team.
  • Manage profit goals versus budget and prior year, controlling food, labor, and paper costs, and other controllable expenses.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local laws and ethical business practices, providing leadership, direction, training, and development to subordinate managers and crew.
  • Manage subordinate store management and crew employees, maximizing retention and contributing to turnover goals.
  • Ensure proper staffing levels, interviewing and hiring crew to ensure adequate coverage, and conducting quality, timely performance feedback and performance appraisals.
  • Oversee and participate in providing quality, timely performance feedback and performance appraisals for crew and subordinate management, serving as a role model and training store managers in leadership, problem-solving, and other management skills.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws, maintaining a work environment in which employees are treated with respect and dignity.
  • Achieve and maintain Sparkle certification through the execution of Quality, Service, and Cleanliness standards, training and executing all food safety procedures, and ensuring compliance with Health Department regulations.
  • Monitor product quality during shift, interacting with customers, and ensuring a timely resolution of all customer complaints.
  • Provide proper training and development in compliance with the Company's standards, conducting timely and quality store orientations for managers and crew, and utilizing Crew Orientation and WE Learn Training system on a daily basis or as instructed.
  • Ensure store compliance with Company operating policies and procedures, working with DM to establish store priorities and developing and executing store plans.
  • Conduct regular managers meetings to communicate and reinforce priorities, utilizing approved uniform program, and controlling cash, property, product, and equipment.
  • Manage store inventory, training and monitoring crew in cash and product inventory controls, and complying with all safety and health standards and applicable rules and regulations.
  • Maintain safe working conditions, taking actions to prevent accidents and initiating corrective actions as appropriate to prevent recurrence of safety concerns.
  • Ensure maintenance of building, grounds, and equipment, training and executing Preventive Maintenance Program, and tracking progress to completion.
  • Complete all administrative requirements and reports, writing crew schedule to meet plans and objectives of unit manager, analyzing P&L, and reviewing with management team.
  • Manage employee files, payroll records, and other Company records in accordance with Company policies and legislative regulations, performing exit interview process for crew, and reporting all accidents promptly and accurately.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university, or one to two years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals, and effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts, apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry, and define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Work Environment

The General Manager must be able to stand for long periods without a break, and be able to travel to the bank, other restaurants, Area Office, etc. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
