The Proposal Specialist at Amergis plays a crucial role in crafting compelling proposals for healthcare staffing and homecare services, responding to various solicitations from federal and local government agencies as well as commercial healthcare organizations, all in support of our extensive sales team.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Conducts thorough bid analyses to identify opportunities and strategies.
  • Writes, edits, formats, and produces proposal documents of varying complexity, ensuring adherence to deadlines.
  • Oversees the entire proposal process from inception to submission.
  • Facilitates post-submission activities, including Discussion Items, Clarifications, and Best and Final Offers (BAFOs).
  • Collaborates effectively with account teams and corporate leadership to align proposal strategies.
  • Manages multiple projects simultaneously, utilizing effective project management tools such as proposal plans, schedules, and outlines.
  • Supports the proposal department and Account Managers in establishing and maintaining a streamlined process for proposal evaluation and submission.
  • Maintains comprehensive tracking and information databases to ensure proposal integrity.
  • Participates actively in departmental meetings, initiatives, and projects.
  • Leads special projects as assigned.
  • Performs additional duties as necessary to support the team.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in English, Technical Writing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
  • One to three years of relevant experience in proposal, grant, plan, or marketing writing.
  • Proven ability to produce both technical and creative writing; writing samples may be requested.
  • Proficient in creating formatted proposals using MS Word and leveraging internet tools for content development.
  • Familiarity with MS Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Adobe Writer.
  • Willingness to learn MS MapPoint and Visio.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively gather and disseminate information among stakeholders.
