Sr. Contracts Specialist

Clearance: Active Secret clearance and eligible to obtain TS (SCI)

Work Authorization: U.S. Citizenship required

Key Responsibilities:
  • Proactively administer a variety of contracts, including BPAs, time and material, cost reimbursement, firm fixed price, IDIQ, and others.
  • Process contract modifications, including incremental funding, de-obligations, and realignments.
  • Maintain accurate and complete contract files and records in Company SharePoint repository.
  • Monitor and assess resource allocation for contract compliance, identifying areas for improvement and ensuring compliance through collaboration with project controls and accounting.
  • Assist the Director of Contracts in tracking organizational agreements and contract deliverables.
  • Manage activities associated with contracts from proposal phase through contract close, reviewing contract terms and conditions, communicating contract requirements, managing contract changes, and monitoring performance to meet company objectives.
  • Compose contract documents, including teaming agreements, statements of work, nondisclosure agreements, and independent consultant agreements.
  • Provide guidance on contract interpretation and problem-solving related to shipment, payment, or customer requirements for orders, and various matters related to proposals and contracts.
  • Support various audits.
  • Perform other contract-related duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Education:
    • Required:
    • Bachelor's degree
  • Experience:
    • Required:
    • 5 or more years of applicable experience
    • Working knowledge of drafting/editing contract language
    • Working knowledge of Excel
    • Experience with FAR and DFAR regulations
    • Secret Clearance
  • Preferred:
    • Government and Commercial contract law and regulation; Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Department of Defense FAR; Sarbanes-Oxley Act; Export Control Regulations; International and Foreign Military Sales SBU product offerings; Contract analysis, interpretation, and compliance; Defense and high technology industries
    • Experience with Deltek CostPoint
    • Local to Huntsville, AL or occasional travel to Huntsville required
