Position Overview:

LPL Financial is in search of a Lead Network Engineer/Architect who will play a pivotal role in the design, engineering, and management of our LAN/WAN and hybrid Data Center environments, encompassing both cloud and on-premises solutions. This role is essential for delivering scalable, resilient, and secure networking frameworks for LPL, our Advisors, and their clientele.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement networking solutions for Data Center, Cloud, and LAN/WAN environments.
  • Oversee the configuration and deployment of networking technologies, both on-premise and cloud-based.
  • Manage the network domain as part of our disaster recovery strategy.
  • Design and administer wide area networks, including MPLS, DIA, and SDWAN.
  • Collaborate with various teams across the organization to ensure effective communication and project success.
  • Diagnose and resolve issues, focusing on root cause analysis and continuous improvement.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation to support network operations.

Qualifications:

  • Over 10 years of experience in Data Center Core Network Engineering and Architecture within a Cisco-centric framework.
  • Advanced expertise in Cisco Data Center design and implementation.
  • Extensive experience in Data Center migrations.
  • Strong understanding of network security, firewalls, and network segmentation.
  • Expertise in dynamic Routing Protocols such as OSPF and BGP.
  • Demonstrated experience as a technical or people leader.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Hands-on experience and architectural expertise in Cisco ACI, along with switches like Nexus 9000, 7000, 5000, and 2000.
  • Current Cisco Certified Design Professional and/or Cisco Certified Network Professional Certification is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Experience with network monitoring and logging tools such as SolarWinds, LiveNX, and ELK for network performance and compliance analysis.
  • Familiarity with Cloud Networking (e.g., AWS, Azure).
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience.

Compensation:

The salary range for this position is $125,000 to $208,300. Actual base salary may vary based on factors such as relevant skills, prior experience, education, internal peer salaries, demonstrated performance, and geographic location.
