AAC is seeking a Lead Systems Engineering Specialist to become an integral part of our high-performing engineering team. This role is vital within the AAC Leadership Team, responsible for maintaining deliverable excellence and guiding engineers across various AAC business sectors.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Evaluate deliverables for quality assurance before client submission.
  • Exhibit proven expertise in requirements management and assessments of reliability, availability, and maintainability.
  • Demonstrate experience in leading and mentoring engineers and architects across diverse engineering fields.
  • Possess in-depth knowledge of DOE O 413.3B, Phase Six, or DODD Acquisition Lifecycle methodologies.

Work Environment

This position offers the flexibility to work remotely from anywhere within the continental US, although candidates in proximity to specific locations are preferred.


Qualifications

Essential Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor of Science (BS) in an Engineering Discipline.
  • US citizenship with the capability to obtain and sustain a DOE Q clearance.
  • Exceptional interpersonal abilities.
  • Prior experience managing acquisition programs within DOD or DOE frameworks.
  • Comprehensive understanding of Systems Engineering Lifecycle and Engineering Logistics.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.
  • 15+ years of progressively responsible work experience.

Preferred Qualifications and Skills:

  • Advanced Degree in Engineering.
  • Experience within National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) laboratories and sites.
  • Familiarity with requirements management tools and simulation software.
  • Professional Engineering License.
