We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join the Gables Search Group team. The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in embedded software development, particularly with Debian-based Linux systems, or UI development using Qt. A keen interest in small unmanned systems, such as drones, is highly desirable. Our organization offers multiple senior software engineering roles focusing on various aspects including embedded Linux management, machine learning, UI development, autopilot software, and system architecture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop high-quality software architecture for next-generation unmanned systems.
  • Lead and mentor a team of junior software engineers in creating innovative products and solutions.
  • Identify, prioritize, and execute tasks throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Produce clean, efficient code for tools and applications.
  • Automate processes using appropriate tools and scripting languages.
  • Review, debug, and enhance existing code.
  • Conduct validation and verification testing to ensure software quality.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to troubleshoot and enhance software performance.

Preferred Qualifications:

The successful candidate should ideally have the following qualifications, though we will consider applicants with varying levels of experience:

  • 5 years of experience in Software Engineering (Required).
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as C, C++, Qt, .Net, and/or Python.
  • Strong knowledge of embedded Linux, including system and network management.
  • Familiarity with open-source autopilot projects and communication protocols (e.g., PX4, ArduPilot, ROS, MAVLink).
  • Experience with ARM architectures and platforms like Raspberry Pi and Nvidia Jetson is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Visual Studio.

Educational Background:
