We are currently seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our Ingot Finishing Department. This role is pivotal in ensuring that our electrical engineering services align with Arconic's operational goals, providing essential support to production, maintenance, and engineering teams. As a key contributor, you will enhance the efficiency, output, and quality of our operations, focusing on the safe integration of electrical systems with manufacturing processes and the enhancement of existing equipment.

The Electrical Engineer will undertake a variety of responsibilities, including but not limited to:

  • Overseeing all stages of assigned electrical engineering projects, from initial concept and scope development to design, commissioning, and project completion.
  • Collaborating with a multidisciplinary technical team to address and resolve complex problems.
  • Utilizing PI Vision and Data Link for process analysis and troubleshooting.
  • Designing and implementing electrical control solutions aimed at process optimization and equipment reliability.
  • Providing technical assistance to production and maintenance teams regarding equipment and process challenges.
  • Redesigning and upgrading PLC/HMI controls for existing systems.
  • Installing and diagnosing camera systems on industrial machinery.
  • Mentoring team members to enhance their understanding of equipment and processes as needed.
  • This position primarily operates during day shifts, with occasional off-hours support required.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (at the time of employment).
  • At least one internship, co-op, or relevant work experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Eligibility to work in the United States is required; verification will be conducted upon hiring.
  • This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), necessitating U.S. person status.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • 1-3 years of familiarity with PLCs, HMIs, AC/DC drives, motors, measuring devices, and Ethernet cameras.
  • Proficiency in Rockwell programming software (e.g., RS Logix and FactoryView).
  • Over three years of experience leading electrical projects.
  • Competence in Microsoft Office Suite and Project applications.
