Position Overview:
We are in search of a dedicated and skilled Electrical Controls Engineer to become a vital member of our team within the construction industry. The selected candidate will play a crucial role in our project teams, focusing on large-scale construction initiatives, and will be tasked with all facets of electrical controls engineering, which encompasses the design, installation, testing, and upkeep of electrical control systems.

Key Responsibilities:
As an Electrical Controls Engineer, your main duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Designing and implementing PLC-based control systems for various construction machinery and equipment.
- Programming and troubleshooting Allen Bradley PLCs utilizing advanced PLC ladder logic and HMI programming.
- Collaborating with fellow engineers and technicians to develop automation systems and solutions.
- Supervising the installation, testing, and maintenance of electrical control systems to ensure compliance with project specifications and safety standards.
- Creating and maintaining comprehensive documentation of control systems, including schematics, diagrams, and manuals.
- Working alongside project managers to ensure timely and budget-compliant completion of control systems.
- Providing technical support and training to end-users and other stakeholders.
- Staying updated on advancements in electrical engineering and control systems technology.
Qualifications:
To qualify for the Electrical Controls Engineer position, candidates must possess the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience as an Electrical Controls Engineer, ideally within the construction sector.
- Expertise in PLC, advanced PLC ladder logic, and HMI programming.
- Extensive experience with Allen Bradley PLCs.
- Thorough understanding of automation systems and technologies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and meet strict deadlines.
- Commitment to continuous learning and skill enhancement.
- A valid professional engineer license is advantageous.
