Position Summary:


We are looking for a talented and driven Electrical Controls Engineer to become a vital member of our innovative team within the construction sector.

The ideal candidate will play a key role in our project team, contributing to large-scale construction initiatives, and will be accountable for all facets of electrical controls engineering, which encompasses the design, installation, testing, and upkeep of electrical control systems.

Key Responsibilities:
As an Electrical Controls Engineer, your main duties will include, but are not limited to:

  • Designing, developing, and executing PLC-based control systems for diverse construction machinery and equipment.
  • Programming and diagnosing Allen Bradley PLC's utilizing advanced PLC ladder logic and HMI programming.
  • Collaborating closely with fellow engineers and technicians to devise automation systems and solutions.
  • Supervising the installation, testing, and maintenance of electrical control systems to ensure compliance with project specifications and safety regulations.
  • Creating and sustaining comprehensive documentation of control systems, including schematics, diagrams, and manuals.
  • Working in conjunction with project managers to guarantee that control systems are finalized on schedule and within budget.
  • Offering technical support and training to end-users and other stakeholders.
  • Staying updated on advancements in electrical engineering and control systems technology.

Qualifications:
To qualify for the Electrical Controls Engineer position, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience as an Electrical Controls Engineer, ideally within the construction sector.
  • Expertise in PLC, advanced PLC ladder logic, and HMI programming.
  • Extensive experience with Allen Bradley PLC's.
  • Thorough understanding of automation systems and technologies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and meet tight deadlines.
  • Willingness to pursue continuous learning and skill enhancement.
  • A valid professional engineer license is a plus.
