POSITION: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

LOCATION: Lake City, MN (Onsite)

SCHEDULE: Rotating Day/Night shifts, every third weekend. 12-hour shifts, totaling 36 hours per week.

COMPENSATION: $45.00 per hour, depending on experience.

OVERVIEW: The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is responsible for delivering nursing care to designated patients under the direct oversight of a Registered Nurse (RN) or another designated supervisor. The LPN is expected to accept tasks delegated by the RN or assigned supervisor to effectively address the needs of patients and their families.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • The LPN gathers data through careful observation and communicates findings to support the RN and/or healthcare provider in patient evaluation and care planning.
  • The LPN collaborates as a vital member of the healthcare team, accepting delegation from the RN or assigned supervisor to fulfill the needs of patients and their families.
  • The LPN provides care in alignment with the established patient care plan, organizational policies, and the principles of relationship-based care.
  • The LPN demonstrates strong communication abilities, excels in mentoring and teaching, and may engage in committees or projects, including initiatives aimed at quality improvement.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Inpatient experience is required.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and LPN licensure are mandatory.
  • Preferred: At least one year of LPN experience within the past five years.
  • Must be a graduate of an accredited practical nursing program or have passed the LPN licensure exam after completing a specified duration in a professional nursing program.
  • Current LPN license as per state regulations is essential.
  • Must maintain current Basic Life Support certification from recognized organizations such as the American Heart Association or American Red Cross, along with any additional specialty certifications as required by the specific work area.
