Job Title: Business Development Director, Demand

We are seeking a highly driven and experienced Business Development Director to join our team. As a key member of our demand and supply partnerships team, you will be responsible for sourcing and onboarding new demand-side platforms (DSPs) and demand partners to our omnichannel ad exchange.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify, qualify, pitch, and close new business with buyers (DSPs) in line with our core strengths and capabilities
  • Work with the leadership team to define, achieve, and exceed revenue and new business goals
  • Develop an omnichannel sales strategy that drives accelerated business growth
  • Prospect for new business using existing relationships and creating new ones
  • Work closely with the marketing organization to shape the go-to-market narrative and articulate the story internally and externally
  • Manage the sales cycle from inception to closure, including prospecting, discovery, evaluation, proposal, justification, close, and onboarding with sales engineering and account management
  • Collaborate with other team members in account management, sales engineering, and marketing to exceed customer expectations
  • Establish yourself as a subject matter expert in mobile, CTV, and in-app programmatic buying trends across the ad tech and digital ecosystem
  • Participate in industry events and assist in developing Verve Group's market presence
  • Prepare pitch materials as needed, both independently and within existing support processes
  • Exceed quarterly and annual revenue goals
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in selling or closing new businesses in programmatic advertising
  • Experience selling CTV and mobile solutions to DSPs, agencies, and programmatic buyers
  • Existing relationships with mobile media companies at the VP sales level, VP/Director, Ad Ops, and comfortable with running C-level conversations
  • Strong knowledge and familiarity with internet advertising models, ad optimization, audience trends, and technologies
  • Self-motivated, independent, high-performing individual with the ability to learn and become productive extremely fast
  • Customer-centric, consultative sales professional who can quickly understand their target customers' market, business, and challenges
  • A professional who is not scared of change and is able to adapt quickly to a constantly changing competitive landscape
  • An enthusiast about marketing who can think strategically and follow through tactically, technically, creatively, and in collaboration with their team members
  • Exceptional organizational, presentation, and communication skills - both verbal and written
  • Proven willingness and ability to prospect aggressively
  • Superb relationship-building skills that can develop credibility with executives and demonstrable business acumen
  • Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint
  • B.A or B.S is a must - MBA preferred
About the Role

This is a hybrid role that can be occupied in New York City in a hybrid set-up or filled remotely in one of the following states: California, Connecticut, Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Massachusetts, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Tennessee, Texas, and Utah.
