Job Description

Job Overview: EM Structural LLC is seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer to join our team. As a Project Engineer, you will play a vital role in the successful execution of engineering projects from inception to completion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development of project plans, schedules, and budgets by conducting research, analyzing project requirements, and identifying key milestones and deliverables.
  • Provide technical expertise and support to project teams by conducting engineering calculations, preparing design drawings, and reviewing technical specifications.
  • Generate and maintain project documentation, including meeting minutes, progress reports, and change orders, to ensure clear communication and documentation of project activities and decisions.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies, to facilitate project coordination and resolve technical issues on time.
  • Implement quality assurance procedures and conduct quality checks to ensure that project deliverables meet established standards and specifications.
  • Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize project delays, cost overruns, and other potential issues.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations by monitoring project activities and implementing appropriate safety measures on-site.
  • Maintain regular communication with clients to provide project updates, address concerns, and solicit feedback to ensure client satisfaction and project success.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform calculations based on engineering principles and building code requirements.
  • Utilize a variety of engineering software packages in computer-aided design.
  • Assist in the production of project documents for client submissions.
  • Attend on-site project meetings and inspections for projects during construction.
  • Prepare formal written reports for clients summarizing on-site observations.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in engineering or construction-related roles, preferably in project management or project engineering.
  • Strong technical skills with proficiency in engineering software and tools.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet project deadlines.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team and interface with clients and stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Knowledge of project management methodologies and practices is desirable.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) licensure or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus, but not required.
