Position: Space Systems Technical Manager
Role Summary
We are looking for a skilled professional with a robust technical research background to offer expert guidance and project oversight on innovative space systems initiatives at INCA Engineering. As a Space Systems Technical Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring effective project control, maintaining oversight, and collaborating with various stakeholders while leveraging your technical expertise to provide valuable insights and direction.
Your responsibilities will include conducting risk assessments, coordinating testing activities, and managing interactions with evaluation and Independent Verification & Validation (IV&V) teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular assessments of project performers to evaluate program, technical, and scheduling risks; devise strategies for risk mitigation and communicate findings to management.
- Review and guide technical documentation, presentations, and communications from project performers.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across different defense agencies and services.
- Oversee initial operational analyses and ensure alignment with project goals.
- Manage programmatic aspects, including technical analysis development, identification of technology gaps, risk management, cost estimation, and supporting technical reviews.
- Prepare and present work products, including reports and presentations.
- Organize and participate in program reviews, site visits, and field tests.
- Assist in the development of research solicitations and source selection activities related to electromagnetic spectrum dominance.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in space systems engineering or mission operations.
- A degree in physics, electrical engineering, or aerospace engineering.
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Active or in-scope DoD Top Secret Clearance with SCI Access is required.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with technologies such as electronic warfare, hardware and software design, and flight software development.
- Previous experience supporting programs at INCA Engineering or similar organizations.
- Familiarity with technical and programmatic processes.
- Demonstrated expertise in program management, ideally in a leadership capacity.
- Strong interest and knowledge in relevant technical areas.
- Ability to quickly assimilate new information to support program objectives.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including MS Project and PowerPoint.
- Experience in developing and testing space technologies.
- Attention to detail and excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Self-motivated individual capable of leading and supporting team efforts in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and respond to urgent requests.
- Adaptable and flexible in response to changing circumstances.
- Familiarity with the technical, programmatic, and contractual environment of defense projects.
