What You Will Be Responsible For as a General Manager
  • Recruit, train, and oversee a team of property managers, ensuring they meet established performance metrics.
  • Design and implement operational guidelines and procedures to enhance efficiency and maximize profitability.
  • Collaborate with marketing, compliance, and leasing teams to ensure effective property marketing and optimal occupancy rates.
  • Prepare and manage budgets for each property, ensuring cost control and achievement of revenue goals.
  • Conduct regular property inspections to maintain the highest standards of upkeep.
  • Address tenant inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Foster and maintain positive relationships with tenants, vendors, and other stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations governing properties.
Compensation Overview
  • Annual salary range of $95,000 - $115,000 (commensurate with experience).
  • Includes an annual performance-based bonus.
Qualifications
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in managing multifamily portfolios is essential.
  • 2 years of experience with HUD Section 8, LIHTC, or other affordable housing programs is preferred.
  • Demonstrated leadership and team management capabilities.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to create and manage budgets effectively.
  • Thorough understanding of relevant federal, state, and local laws affecting the Multifamily Housing Industry and Employment Law, including Fair Housing, ADA & ADAA, Fair Credit Reporting Act, and Landlord-Tenant Laws.
  • Capacity to work independently and juggle multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and property management software.
  • Adept at utilizing technology and software for reporting, marketing, performance tracking, trend analysis, and opportunity forecasting. Highly adaptable to new tools and applications.
