As a key member of the CMP team, the Nursing Department Manager, Operating Room FT Days will be responsible for managing the delivery of nursing services and safe patient care within assigned departments and across the continuum of care. This role requires a strong leader who can establish, implement, and maintain patient care and service standards to meet members and internal clients' expectations and needs in a changing, competitive healthcare market.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement strategies to improve patient care and services, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational goals.
- Lead and manage a team of nursing professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and development opportunities to ensure the highest quality of care.
- Collaborate with nursing leadership to develop strategic business plans, driving integrated services across the continuum of care.
- Monitor financial performance, identifying opportunities to reduce costs and improve quality of care.
- Develop and maintain departmental policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and business objectives.
- Ensure a culture of safety, promoting patient, employee, and department safety standards and guidelines.
- Minimum five years of clinical nursing experience, including three years of management, supervisory, or leadership experience.
- Academic degree in nursing required (Bachelors or Masters degree).
- Registered Nurse License (California) and Basic Life Support certification.
- Previous experience with electronic medical records.
- Masters degree.
- National Certification in specialty.
