Job Summary:

Kaiser Permanente seeks a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to serve as the Assistant Clinical Director of Emergency Services. This role is responsible for assisting the Clinical Director in planning, developing, implementing, delivering, and evaluating the quality of patient care, nursing, and emergency services within the department. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in emergency nursing, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise the delivery of emergency nursing and patient care services to meet or exceed cost, quality, clinical, and utilization standards.
  • Ensure that services meet member, physician, and internal client needs.
  • Supervise and ensure continuous improvement of all assigned clinical practices, services, and operations.
  • Develop and implement action plans to improve staff development and the delivery of patient care.
  • Ensure multi-disciplinary teams/staff provide the highest quality of care and are in compliance with regulatory requirements.

Requirements:
Minimum three (3) years of RN emergency or critical care nursing experience required. Minimum two (2) years supervisory experience in healthcare, or charge RN experience within the last five (5) years. BSN or bachelors degree in a relevant field required. Registered Nurse License (California) required at hire. Basic Life Support required at hire from American Heart Association. Pediatric Advanced Life Support required at hire from American Heart Association. Advanced Cardiac Life Support required at hire from American Heart Association.


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Supervisory experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.
  • Educator experience is preferred but not required.
  • Masters degree preferred.
  • Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) and/or Certified Nurse Manager Leader.
