Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Design and execute research experiments in accordance with the research strategy, assess progress, and analyze outcomes under the guidance of the Principal Investigator and senior laboratory members.
  • Develop research methodologies and propose enhancements to improve quality, identify potential challenges, and recommend and implement effective solutions.
  • Conduct data analysis and interpret research methodologies.
  • Manage daily laboratory functions, including inventory management, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, preparing animal research protocols, hazardous waste management, and maintaining laboratory databases.
  • Potentially supervise both exempt and non-exempt research staff.
  • Maintain a small animal breeding program and act as the health contact for core animal populations.
  • Oversee the scheduled growth and maintenance of cultured cell lines (tissue culture).
  • Serve as a liaison with other departments or organizations as needed.

Required Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant scientific discipline directly related to the responsibilities of this position.
  • A minimum of 1 year of relevant experience.

To be eligible for this position, candidates must meet all required qualifications prior to the commencement of employment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • A Master’s degree.
