D N C Catering Inc is seeking a Financial Operations Manager to join our team. We provide comprehensive backend administrative solutions for a network of affiliated businesses across various sectors.

The ideal candidate will possess exceptional communication abilities, be highly organized, and have a strong background in managing a dynamic, multi-entity organization. This role requires assisting non-financial managers in comprehending their financial processes and reports. This is a Full-Time position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and mentor the accounting staff in recording all transactions accurately.
  • Establish Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for transactional and month-end processes across all entities.
  • Oversee the month-end and year-end closing procedures; conduct balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance; generate timely financial reports including monthly Profit and Loss statements, Balance Sheets, and Cash Flow Forecasts; analyze discrepancies from budgets and prior periods.
  • Provide insights into industry benchmarks and identify areas for financial enhancement.
  • Negotiate insurance plans to ensure compliance with banking and liability standards while maintaining cost efficiency.
  • Guide payroll processing for all entities utilizing ADP systems.
  • Manage Benefits Administration across the network.
  • Assist in managing vendor and client relationships as necessary.
  • Serve as the primary liaison for banks, auditors, and tax authorities, overseeing compliance and reporting processes.
  • Manage cash flow and implement improvements in cash flow management, accounts payable processing, and accounts receivable collections across the network.
  • Prepare financial reports and respond to documentation requests on a daily basis.
  • Explore opportunities for continuous improvement in technology, efficiency, and operational processes.
  • Collaborate with tax accountants to provide necessary information.

Position Requirements:

  • Strong communication skills, both as a leader in accounting and in cross-functional interactions with non-financial stakeholders.
  • A minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience is required.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities.
  • CPA certification is preferred.

Technology Requirements:

  • Proficiency in QuickBooks Online.
  • Strong Excel skills are essential.
  • Ability to research, learn, and implement new technologies as required.
  • Experience with various industry-related software is a plus.
