JOB FUNCTIONS:

The Plant Controller plays a pivotal role in overseeing the financial operations of the facility and is an integral part of the plant leadership team. This position is tasked with ensuring precise and prompt financial and management reporting; establishing and upholding a robust internal control framework; delivering comprehensive analysis of the financial impacts of operational decisions; and preparing and articulating clear explanations of variances and financial outcomes. Key financial responsibilities encompass monthly closing processes, profit and loss management, financial forecasting, and annual operational planning. The individual in this role will align business operations with financial strategies to meet customer expectations while adhering to GPI's business, cultural, financial, and operational goals.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to:

  • Oversee the financial processes for the entire plant
  • Lead the plant financial team, manage inventory controls, and collaborate with plant management to achieve financial and operational targets
  • Provide analytical insights to foster continuous improvement across all plant activities and processes
  • Conduct month-end analysis: profit and loss statements and balance sheets, including variance assessments
  • Prepare month-end reporting packages for presentation to senior management
  • Deliver monthly financial forecasts and detailed analyses
  • Support plant management with key decision-making
  • Coordinate the annual budgeting process for the plant; gather, analyze, and consolidate financial data while thoroughly understanding all associated risks and opportunities
  • Champion all plant safety and operational initiatives
  • Collaborate with plant management to validate cost savings
  • Provide analytical support for cross-departmental projects, including customer profitability assessments and pricing strategies
  • Develop and enforce financial controls in line with company policies and procedures
  • Safeguard assets by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing internal controls
  • Assess and confirm financial conditions through audits (primarily focusing on inventory and fixed assets); supply information to internal and external auditors

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related business field is required
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing setting with proven expertise in analysis, planning, and forecasting
  • At least 3 years of supervisory experience
  • Demonstrated capability to drive profit and loss performance and independently manage the financial functions of an operational plant
  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience with ERP systems is essential; SAP experience is preferred
  • Willingness to travel 5-10%

SCHEDULE DEMANDS:

  • Standard schedule is an 8-hour Monday to Friday assignment; however, flexibility to work alternate schedules, including early mornings, evenings, and/or weekends, is required

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods, up to 8 hours
  • Occasional lifting of up to 20 lbs
  • Proficient in reading computer screens or other electronic devices
  • Utilization of various office hand and electrical tools or equipment

Salary Min: $123,215.00

Salary Mid: $164,255.00

Salary Max: $205,295.00
