Key Responsibilities:- Service Operations Management:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the service department.
- Schedule and prioritize repair and maintenance work to ensure timely completion.
- Monitor shop workflow to maximize efficiency and productivity.
- Ensure that all repair work is performed correctly and meets industry standards.
- Customer Service:
- Greet customers and handle service inquiries with professionalism and courtesy.
- Provide accurate estimates for repairs and maintenance services.
- Communicate with customers regarding the status of their vehicles and any additional repairs needed.
- Resolve customer complaints and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Team Management:
- Recruit, train, and supervise service advisors, technicians, and other service department staff.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide coaching to improve staff performance.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Foster a positive work environment and promote teamwork within the service department.
- Financial Management:
- Develop and manage the service department budget, including labor, parts, and overhead costs.
- Monitor financial performance and implement strategies to achieve revenue and profit goals.
- Review and approve invoices, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Manage inventory levels of parts and supplies, ensuring availability without overstocking.
- Quality Control:

- Perform final inspections on completed repairs to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Monitor warranty work and ensure compliance with manufacturer requirements.
- Vendor and Supplier Relations:

- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of parts and materials.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in automotive technology or business management is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in an auto repair shop, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role.
- Skills: Strong knowledge of automotive repair and maintenance procedures.
- Customer Service: Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Leadership: Proven ability to manage a team and drive performance.
- Organizational: Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
