Job Description

Title: Independent Living Program Administrator
Reports to: Director of Residential Services
Department: Independent Living
FLSA Status: Exempt-B
Program Hours: Monday - Friday 9am-5:30pm, with on-call, evening, and weekend duties during emergencies.

Supervisory Responsibility: Oversee ILS Instructors and Apartment Managers across multiple locations.

Position Summary: Under the guidance of the Director of Residential Services, you will be responsible for the effective management and operational integrity of the Independent Living Program.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute supervisory and administrative tasks while managing multiple projects with tight deadlines.
  • Effectively lead and manage assigned personnel, ensuring optimal service delivery to consumers.
  • Oversee apartment management to ensure compliance with industry standards and conduct regular inspections.
  • Provide mentorship and training to Independent Living Skills Instructors, focusing on case management and program development.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and assist in the recruitment process for new staff.
  • Review financial documents and ensure accurate billing for resident services.
  • Collaborate with the Director to streamline the intake process for new residents.
  • Monitor and assess the progress of residents, adjusting plans as necessary.
  • Ensure timely reporting and documentation of incidents and attendance.
  • Assist in the preparation of necessary documentation for regulatory compliance.
  • Stay informed about advancements in Independent Living practices and implement new initiatives as appropriate.
  • Act as the primary contact for external service coordinators.
  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols and emergency procedures.
  • Assist in budget management and operational planning.

Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field preferred.
Experience: Minimum of three years in a related field, including supervisory experience.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Exceptional organizational abilities with a focus on prioritization.
  • Capacity to handle sensitive matters with discretion.
  • Ability to lead and allocate resources effectively.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours as needed.

Requirements:

  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Pass a background investigation.
  • Maintain required certifications in first aid and CPR.

Work Environment: This role involves working with adults with varying degrees of disabilities, requiring adaptability to diverse situations and environments.

Physical Requirements: Ability to navigate residential settings and assist residents as needed.

Equipment Operation: Proficient use of standard office equipment and vehicles.
