Job Description

Title: Independent Living Program Administrator
Reports to: Director of Residential Services
Department: Independent Living
FLSA Status: Exempt-B
Program Hours: Monday - Friday 9am-5:30pm, with on-call, evening, and weekend responsibilities during emergencies.

Supervisory Responsibility: Oversight of ILS Instructors and Apartment Manager.
Position Summary: Under the guidance of the Director of Residential Services, oversee and ensure the effective operation of the Independent Living Program.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute management duties that involve handling multiple assignments with tight deadlines.
  • Effectively lead assigned personnel, developing weekly schedules that optimize service delivery to clients, while monitoring staffing levels to ensure uninterrupted service.
  • Oversee the Apartment Manager, ensuring compliance with housing standards and conducting regular inspections.
  • Provide training and support to Independent Living Skills Instructors in case management and related areas.
  • Conduct staff performance evaluations and assist in the hiring process, addressing personnel issues promptly.
  • Review program documentation and financial records regularly to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Collaborate with the Director to establish an efficient intake process for new residents and monitor their progress.
  • Ensure accurate reporting of resident training hours and maintain comprehensive case files.
  • Complete necessary incident reports and ensure timely submission of attendance and management reports.
  • Assist in preparing required documentation for housing authorities as needed.
  • Stay informed about new trends in Independent Living and be ready to implement innovative programs.
  • Act as the primary contact for service coordinators.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and provide support during emergencies.
  • Adhere to budgetary guidelines for program operations.

Additional Duties:

  • Comply with safety and emergency procedures.
  • Maintain regular attendance and punctuality.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field preferred.
Experience: Minimum of three years in a related role, including supervisory experience.

Skills:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to handle sensitive issues with discretion.
  • Basic math skills.

Requirements:

  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Pass a background investigation.
  • Maintain required certifications.

Work Environment: This role involves working with adults with various disabilities in a dynamic environment.

Physical Requirements: Ability to navigate residential settings and assist residents as needed.
