The National Football League is seeking a highly skilled Production Assistant to join our team in Inglewood, CA. This full-time position will report to the Senior Manager, Production and be involved in all aspects of studio-based shows.
Key Responsibilities- Work closely with Coordinating Producers, Senior Producers, Segment Producers, and other Production Assistants on a daily basis to support content created for daily studio programming.
- Collaborate with editors and graphic operators in edit bays and control rooms to produce video content and coordinate live-to-air on-screen fonts.
- Responsible for watching games and producing multiple highlights for various studio shows.
- Develop and implement on-screen graphic elements that reflect breaking news, current NFL topics, and statistics related to show content.
- Archiving important video, teleprompting shows, and other various tasks related to production.
- Facilitate communication and the exchange of ideas across multiple departments.
- Strong NFL knowledge (present day & historical).
- Strong editorial judgement and attention to detail/organizational skills.
- Ability to decipher the most important and up-to-date information for all NFL stories.
- Strong understanding of workflows in control rooms and edit environments.
- Strong writing skills.
- Ability to perform basic statistical and info-based research.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Bachelor's degree in Communication, Journalism, or equivalent experience in a related field.
- Previous professional experience in a TV production environment is strongly preferred.
- Understanding of linear editing and on-air graphics systems.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and/or projects at once and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to establish open communication and perform well under pressure.
- Team-oriented attitude on all tasks, from the largest to smallest.
