Position Summary: The IT Systems Administrator II is responsible for the maintenance, enhancement, and management of our technological infrastructure, including software, hardware, and networks. This role requires a resourceful individual who can quickly diagnose and resolve issues while effectively communicating with various teams and users. The primary objective is to ensure the seamless operation of our technology systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide first-level support for both internal and external clients.
  • Conduct regular system assessments and perform maintenance according to established schedules.
  • Ensure the integrity and security of data systems while recommending optimization strategies.
  • Oversee backup schedules and verify the effectiveness of disaster recovery plans.
  • Build and deploy new workstations and laptops.
  • Document IT-related processes and protocols.
  • Proactively seek further education in relevant systems administration and emerging technologies.
  • Respond to position-related emergencies outside of regular hours.

Qualifications:

A degree in Computer Technology or a related IT field, or equivalent experience is required.

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Proficient in VMware and Hyper-V virtual environments.
  • Experience with Windows Server and both physical and virtual machines.
  • Administer and monitor Azure solutions, including storage, identity, governance, virtual networks, and computing.
  • Intermediate networking skills, including LAN, WAN, WLAN, Site-to-Site VPN, VLAN segmentation, and firewall management.
  • Familiarity with Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and VPN services.
  • Manage and maintain SAN and NAS storage solutions.
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues on servers and workstations.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Windows 10 and 11.
  • Experience with Syslog and Event Log analysis.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience managing cloud-based call center systems.
  • Knowledge of firewall management, including Cisco Firepower and Palo Alto.
  • Proficiency in PowerShell and scripting.
  • Experience with monitoring tools such as SolarWinds Orion.
  • CCNA certification is a plus.
  • Understanding of PCI compliance and related documentation.
  • Familiarity with SendGrid SMTP.
