Position Summary: The IT Systems Administrator II is responsible for the upkeep, enhancement, and management of our technological infrastructure, including software, hardware, and networks. This role requires a resourceful individual capable of swiftly diagnosing and resolving issues while effectively communicating with diverse teams and users. The primary objective is to ensure seamless and efficient operation of our technology systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide first-level support for both internal and external clients.
  • Conduct regular system evaluations and perform maintenance during designated support periods.
  • Ensure the integrity and security of data systems, recommending optimization strategies as necessary.
  • Oversee backup schedules and verify the effectiveness of disaster recovery protocols.
  • Assemble and deploy new computers and laptops.
  • Document IT-related processes and procedures comprehensively.
  • Proactively pursue further education in relevant systems administration and emerging technology trends.
  • Respond to position-related emergencies outside of regular hours.

Qualifications:

A degree in Computer Technology or a related IT field, or equivalent experience.

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Familiarity with VMware and Hyper-V virtual environments.
  • Experience managing Windows Server, both physical and virtual machines.
  • Proficient in deploying and monitoring Azure solutions, including storage, identity, governance, virtual networks, and computing in cloud settings.
  • Intermediate networking skills, including LAN, WAN, WLAN, Site-to-Site VPN, VLAN segmentation, and various firewall technologies.
  • Knowledge of Active Directory, encompassing Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, Printer Services, and VPN.
  • Manage and maintain SAN Dell EMC, HP Nimble, and NAS storage systems.
  • Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware and software issues on servers and workstations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Windows 10 and 11.
  • Experience with Syslog, Event Log, and user event analysis.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office 365.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience managing cloud-based call center systems, including RingCentral and Cisco Call Manager.
  • Knowledge of firewall management, specifically Cisco Firepower and/or Palo Alto.
  • Proficiency in PowerShell and scripting.
  • Experience with SolarWinds Orion and SEM for system monitoring.
  • CCNA certification.
  • Understanding of PCI compliance and related documentation and scans.
  • Familiarity with SendGrid SMTP.
