Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Azure Database Engineer to join our growing team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in designing, implementing, and maintaining robust database solutions within our cloud-based infrastructure. You will be responsible for ensuring the security, performance, and availability of our critical data assets.

Responsibilities

  • Manage Azure-based SQL Server databases across various environments, from development to production systems.
  • Implement robust security measures to protect sensitive data and meet compliance standards.
  • Design, implement, and maintain disaster recovery processes and procedures for database systems.
  • Leverage your expertise in SQL Azure to perform point-in-time recovery using best practices.
  • Optimize SQL Azure database performance through tuning techniques and analysis of log events and analytics.
  • Conduct capacity planning, service process design, performance analysis, and develop proactive resolution plans for database infrastructure.
  • Administer, build, and deploy Azure resources, with a focus on database management.
  • Collaborate with development teams to ensure seamless integration of databases into applications.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as an Azure Database Engineer or similar role.
  • In-depth knowledge of SQL Server and Azure SQL Database services.
  • Strong understanding of database security principles and best practices.
  • Experience with disaster recovery planning and implementation.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
