Job Overview:

New Directions for Veterans (NDVets) is seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Veterans Support Specialist to join our team. As a dedicated case manager, you will work closely with veterans in need, providing personalized support and connecting them with essential resources.

$65,000 - $75,000 per year

  • Providing individualized support and guidance to veterans, helping them navigate challenges and overcome obstacles.
  • Connecting veterans with community resources, such as housing, medical care, and financial assistance.
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary treatment teams to ensure comprehensive care and support.
  • Maintaining accurate and timely records, including documentation of client progress and service delivery.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A strong passion for supporting veterans and promoting their well-being.
  • Demonstrated experience working with vulnerable populations, preferably in a mental health or social services setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with diverse individuals.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively.
  • Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software.
