What you will do

This role is responsible for the installation of sophisticated integrated security systems, which includes the wiring, equipment setup, and programming of access control systems, CCTV, digital recorders, network recorders, and intercom systems for clients.

How you will do it

  • Install cabling, field equipment, and control equipment enclosures at customer sites in accordance with national electrical codes and company guidelines.
  • Utilize electronic testing equipment to diagnose complex issues during installation.
  • Interpret blueprints, diagrams, specifications, software/system programs, schematics, and operational manuals.
  • Adjust, repair, or replace malfunctioning equipment and conduct operational tests.
  • Perform system checks to ensure proper functionality.
  • Possess knowledge of computer applications including word processing, spreadsheets, databases, CCTV, and access control systems.
  • Plan, organize, and prioritize tasks with a keen attention to detail.
  • Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, while fostering cooperative working relationships.
  • Analyze information critically.
  • Work independently to complete installation projects and demonstrate self-motivation.
  • Complete and submit all necessary documentation related to job assignments.
  • Utilize hand and power tools to securely mount and install equipment.
  • Route cables through access points, ceilings, and walls to reach fixture outlets; position and terminate cables, wires, and strapping.
  • Drill holes for wiring in wall studs, joists, ceilings, and floors.
  • Conduct training for end-users.
  • Isolate issues within customer networks, as applicable.

What we look for

Required

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • A+ certification is mandatory.
  • Extensive experience with Digital & Analog Camera Systems.
  • Significant background in Access Control Systems.
  • Understanding of Alarm Systems' function and design.
  • Experience with IP addressable security devices.
  • Proficient in computer skills, including advanced TCP/IP networking.
  • Ability to operate a company vehicle with a satisfactory driving record.
  • Proficient in all aspects of ADT A.I. core card access and CCTV systems.

Preferred

  • Associate Degree or completion of a 2-year technical program is preferred.
  • Completion of an industry-recognized apprenticeship training program may substitute for formal education requirements.
