Position Overview
We are in search of a skilled and experienced Permanent Security Technician to become part of our dynamic team in the construction sector. This role presents a unique chance to engage with cutting-edge security technologies, ensuring the protection and safety of our construction sites and facilities. The ideal candidate will be tasked with the installation, upkeep, and troubleshooting of various security systems, including CCTV, Access Control, and Low Voltage systems from top manufacturers such as Lenel, Galaxy, Software House, Avigilon, Samsung, and others. This is a full-time, permanent role that provides a competitive salary and benefits package.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair a variety of security systems, including CCTV, Access Control, and Low Voltage systems.
- Conduct regular testing and preventative maintenance on all security systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Diagnose and resolve issues in security systems and equipment.
- Program and configure security systems and software in accordance with client specifications.
- Offer technical support and guidance to clients and colleagues regarding security system operations and best practices.
- Collaborate closely with the project management team to ensure timely project completion.
- Stay informed about the latest security technologies and industry developments.
- Maintain detailed records of all installations, maintenance, and repairs performed.
- Comply with all safety regulations and procedures.
Qualifications:
- At least 2 years of experience as a Security Technician or in a similar capacity within the construction sector.
- Demonstrated experience with security systems and technologies such as CCTV, Access Control, and Low Voltage systems.
- Proficient in security software and systems from Lenel, Galaxy, Software House, Avigilon, Samsung, or equivalent.
- Strong technical and troubleshooting abilities.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Capability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Detail-oriented with robust organizational and project management skills.
- Must possess a valid driver's license.
- Ability to lift and transport heavy equipment.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and procedures in the construction industry.
- Relevant certification or training in security systems installation and maintenance is advantageous.
